Great Move by Govt to weed out corrupt officials
The central government has instructed all ministries and departments to maintain a register of government servants in the 50-55 year age bracket, and those who have completed 30 years in service, as it plans to weed out more “corrupt” and “inefficient” officials.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), all ministries and government departments will have to conduct a quarterly review of the officials, in order to ascertain who among them need to be prematurely retired from service. The age of retirement in government jobs is 58 years.
“In order to bring in better clarity to the existing instructions and enable uniform implementation, an effort has been made to review, consolidate and reiterate the guidelines so far issued on the subject at one place,” the DoPT communication issued on 28 August said.
“The register of the government servants who are due to attain the age of 50/55 years or to complete 30 years of service, has to be maintained,” added the order.
The order further said the register maintained by each ministry will have to be reviewed at the beginning of every quarter by a senior official of the ministry or department. As such, a review would be mandatory for the January-March, April-June, July-September and October-December periods. more

your opinions are partly correct. The Govt. sr. Babus are giving Directions to newly elected MLA / MP how to use their fund & earn the money. So every MLA /MP when he becomes minister he always try to get that babu transfer in his filed due to harmonics.But at the same time all babus are not corrupt. So it is injustice with them. In fact these officers should get deputation after retirement to complete the incomplete work in others period of service. The Govt. Babus should be stricter following the rules. Mr. T N sheshan is example of this. He is the person who showed country the right & Legal Jurisdiction of Election Commission. but Since all political parties are corrupt they do no want such persons to become the obstacles in their way of corruption. Also there should be Limitation of becoming MP / MLA 2- times maxm. in life . Rest he can work on District / Municipal level But not state / Central level. also If their MLA / MP ward dev. fund removes & Also pension , then only few peoples will enter into politics as cream has vanished. more
