great platform

This is a great platform to share experiences and thoughts with FSSAI. I have a grievance
I want to share. This is about eatables and snacks and sweets being sold at every shop
without a certificate by any food authority. These small time manufacturers supply these
eatables made with very low quality oils and condiments which are dangerous for everybody's health including children who consume them almost in every home. There is no check by the Govt. and they are flourishing like mushrooms. They taste bad, smell bad and are very much below standards set by the FSSAI. Will anybody read/listen and bring it to attention of the authorities.
Then other complaint is about regular increase in rates without input costs by the sellers
and manufacturers like Haldiram, Bikaner and others. There has been no increase in the rates of the basic ingredients, but they increase their rates regularly burdening the consumers. This practice should be checked.

There are adequate acts and rules to check these things but the problem is with food authorities and the local bodies who not only do not act but share a ;Hafta' with the vendors. more
Dear Mr Shankar Saran, Thanks for your comments. Good luck to you and your family. The point I was driving is - there is no harm for anybody in doing anything good for the society in general. As such one can start a tea shop at the roadside. What he has to do, that i said, was inform the Govt (thus the people of this country) that he is now engaged with the stated activities and the auto registration number generated online after successful registration only confirms that his identity is confirmed. Subsequent updates will increase or decrease his Goodwill and thus his business and survival You might have heard a media reports recently that in Puthussery a cottage type unit looking dirty manufactures medicines that is packed in any companies stripes that the buyer asks for. These are purchased at peanut rates and sold to us at the MRP. There is identity in that. Thanks more
Dear Mr Dipak Himatsingka, What you are telling is tomorrow India's 1.2 billion peoples' earnings goes beyond the IT limit the Govt cannot collect income tax from each person or the mass cannot submit their IT return to the IT dept.? It is very much possible. We have Central Govt, State Govt, Districts, Panchayats. villages. It is very much possible. Yes, there should be a political will. Thanks more
Is it physically possible to bring every caterer into this net. It is physically impossible. Good sense must prevail in the minds of the vendors. more
