GST and Black Money
Unless our mind set changes, generation of Black money wont stop. We Indians are ingenious, and will find new ways . Is there any Govt. Office where you can get your file to move , if you dont pay ? The Registrar is supposed to be there so things are regulated. Noidaites have to go to Meerut, and they have to pay a higher rate . The perception being that Noidaites are flush with money. Nothing changed, except the rates , which became higher.

I agree. There should be strict penalty for law enforcers . Then alone we can expect honesty from General Public. more

Whatever is panelty for common man for corruption it should be double to the administrator because he cannot called ignorant more

GST will be implemented/monitored by state Govt sales tax deptt as well as central Govt Sales tax department. This duplicity of authority is enough to increase corruption. Govt is doing half hearted work. My suggestion is that GST should be charged at manufacturer level and MRP should be inclusive of GST. This will free small traders from all the hassels. This will also prevent chances of avoidance of GST at small trader level. more

It is reasonably true that mere institution of GST will not make people HONEST. But it is a step in that direction.. Good rules and god systems make it more difficult for people to cheat. Though finally, it depends on us.... DO WE WANT TO CHEAT?.... Then we can always find out ways to do it. more
