I am service provider from Delhi, with clients in Delhi, Noida and Kalkata. I would like to know the bifurcation of GST to be charged in the categories of CGST,SGST ad IGST for three states. more
If you are registered in Delhi and providing services in three States through presence is those states, you are liable to register in those states and pay tax accordingly. In case you do not have any fixed establishment in those states and are not a casual taxable person, then you are liable to pay only IGST which is consolidated rate (CGST+SGST). You are not required to show any break up of the tax. more
Dear Surinder. The GST rate for your SAC,if it is 18%,then if the services is provided in Delhi the UTGST is 9% and CGST is 9%.If it is outside Delhi it is only IGST which is your GST rate for your service code. more
I do not why the tax payer has to bifurcate himself in the invoice. On one hand the Govt is saying - one nation, one tax then why there are three different taxes to be shown. The shares of center and state has been agreed between themselves and why cant it be done at their end and why ask the tax payer to do this bifurcation at his end. Then where is the simplification? more
Sorry there is no ONE NATION ONE TAX......still there are so many taxes. Custom Duty is there and the products which have been kept out of GST still attracts Excise Duty, Entry Tax, Entertainment Tax, Cess etc. So where is ONE NATION ONE TAX? Even in GST there are so many situations where you have to pay Goods Tax as well as Service Tax on a single transaction. I am not an opponent of GST but the spirit behind implementation of GST should be clear and honest but here the government officials try to make public fool by making sooooooo complicated provisions. more

Brijji, Now a days most of the people make invoice on computer and once the template is made one need not change anything. One template for Intrastate and one for interstate. So I do not think writing separate taxes is any big deal. Please note that GST is a progressive step and let us all support it and try to take the nation forward irrespective of how politicians do their politics. Teething problems are always going to be there. Just look at our weddings. no govt or no politician involved but many things we do last minute and many times we are not able to do all that is planned. You can understand for a nation like India how difficult it is going to be unless we all co operate. We are manufacturer in Maharashtra (just outside Mumbai) and I can tell you how much paper work is reduced for us. more
