GST Filling For Export of Good

Hello, i am based in Gurgaon and am in to export business (Clothes). I have a few questions regarding GST.
When i export the goods through fedex or dhl, am i supposed to pay gst on the value of the products since i am exporting? Do i get the tax return since there shouldn’t be any gst on exports or do we get a tax credit only when we send commercial shipments? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. more

Export under GST can be effected under Zero rated invoices otherwise whatever GST is charged can be claimed as rebate/refund. more
Mr. Rohit, It is to mention here that under GST export is considered as zero rated supply. It means you will get not only refund of Outward GST paid at the time of supply and the GST paid on the Input also. Therefore under GST two types of supply allowed. First, is supply with the payment of IGST on supply and then claim IGST paid by you and the GST paid by you on Input. Secondly, one is Supply without payment of IGST but under Letter of Undertaking (LUT). In this case you will claim refund of GST on the input only within 2 years from the date of delivery to FED with your registration number by applying GST RFD 01. more
Dear Rohit, I hope you have registered under GST Act. Please apply for LUT with your Concerned GST officer, and obtain for the financial year. Once you get this letter, you need not to pay IGST on exports. For more details you can talk to me on my cell no. 9313888859. CA Ashok Malhotra more
My niece is having home tutions and earns Rs 5000-/- per month . Total about 55000-/- in the entire year . Please tell me if she needs to apply for GST number . She is a tax payer and her pension is Rs 3,50,000-/- Retd teacher . She shows her tution income in her return every year . more
Yes I agree. Education services for tutions in certain subjects are exempt even if you cross Rs.20 threshold. more
Since she is working from her home and the total service revenue is less than 20 lacs in a year, GST registration is not required. more
Dear Rohit If you are unable to get LUT then get shipping bill documents with your GST number from FEDEX. Also check whether your value and other details are recorded by customs. If yes you will get refund. more
