Why to registrar, here earlier Reverse charge mechanism was applicable but now withdrawn... It may again introduce more
No presently there is NO GST on Advocate fees. AND if it is imposed the burden will be shifted to the litigants like that of Other Products and services. Same is the Case of C.A., and Doctors as well. more
As a Advocate ,You are Accepting your Professional Fees from the Clients for the services rendered to him , which made You a Taxable Person . Here, Your taxable Liability Starts Under CST Act , And if your annual turn over exceeds 20 Lacks Rs from profession You have to register Yourself Under CST & maintain the Registers /Records of Acctts of tax + Adv.Fee collected from Your Clients . You are thereby, Liable to Submit the returns & deposit the Tax ,deducted from clients, time to time to the Authority . more
The above Procedure may be related to the schedule of CST Act , - As per contents of Schedule II (Property transaction services etc.) of the CST Act and not related with items under Schedule III (Directly Related with Court Tribunal Matters etc) more
Yes I think GST is applicable, payable to the registrar not the advocate. more
I support Rakesh. more
There are two issues here one Property registration is seperate and second Lawyer who helps you to get it registered will charge his fees and he can charge GST on his fees as a GST registered practioner !! more
