After the introduction of GST from 01/07/2017, the government has allowed the use of sticker/ stamping of revised rates, alongside already printed MRP for pre-packaged items to reflect changes in selling price up to 31/12/2017 in order to help the traders/sellers who have unsold items in their stock. The unsold items had an MRP which included all taxes, but with the introduction of GST, some of the final retail prices have undergone changes due to increase or decrease in tax incidence. If the seller /trader is selling the product charging GST on MRP. then the complaint should be filed with District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum. more
