At the time of clicking he deal you must have came across the Price QUOTE. If you can able to retrieve the entire communication - advisable to lodge your complaint to Dept. of Consumer Affairs (Government of India) as well as Consumer forum of your locality. Good case to contest for. more

I seek some elucidation: One member writes, "As per Govt. mandate, each product sold from shops or e-commerce platform must have MRP mentioned on it and MRP is inclusive of all taxes." Now, if a manufacturer omits to print the word MRP against the price, he is at fault and should be taken to account. Another member voices, "tHE BASIC TENET OF GST IS USED HERE. AMAZON HAS PURCHASED FROM THE ORIGINAL USER. iN TURN HE IS PASSING ON THE COST + GST./ TO YOU. WHEN HE DOES THAT HE IS GETTING WHAT IS KNOW iNPUT COST." Question arises however: did Amazon pay GST to the manufacturer on the price printed on the product? If yes, Amazon is merely passing that GST on to the buyer. And that should be considered in order, right? Clarification however is needed on whether Amazon did or did not pay GST to the manufacturer. If Amazon bought the product at the price printed on the product as MRP, then they've no reason to charge GST to their buyers BECAUSE MRP includes all taxes. more

Sir, All the packaged products are to carry only one price which is called MRP and MRP is inclusive of taxes. Charging of taxes on the MRP is illegal and the consumer in the first instance seek refund of the amount and complain to the State Controller of Legal Metrology. State Controllers are required to look into their invoicing pattern and take corrective action and penalise the offenders. The consumer has also a right to approach Consumer Forum for the relief. more

Amazon is just doing biz without any responsibility. I had ordered seaplane for my kids school project competition.Nuclear submarine received. Due to wrong item ruined whole project. When I made a phone complaint, the amazon representative says, you may return the product & we will refund the amount. That's not fair biz. Hence need 4 times compensation, for the harassment and returning wrong item amazon shipped. Friends your advice and suggestions please. more
