GSt rate rejig is inappropriate
The imposition of 5% GST on items of common consumption like grains and curd that were so far exempted is regressive. Tax on packed grains below 75 kg will result in the increase of prices of grains sold in retail.Withdraw tax on necessities and increase tax on luxuries. more

Such unhealth decision simply will invite more disaster instead of any improvement in social life. Govt. is in a spree of revenue collection imposing tax on individual instead of planning it otherwise. This will surely scale down the consumption. Incompetent guys always rule with no deep thought. more

Items of necessity, which are required for survival including medicine, should not be placed under the ambit of GST. Also strict check should be maintained on freebies and subsidies. In fact it should be extended only to the people who really deserve it and not as a rule. more
