GST Revised Rates enforcement
I remember dept of consumer affairs stating that all legal metrology controllers are in this circle. I am attaching revised rate of GST. I feel if metrology officers visit 3-4 big departmental/grocery chains in their cities and start enforcing, it will make world of difference. either the stores will start putting mrp stickers or negotiate with unilever p&g cadburys to give them new stock in exchange for old. consumer should not be forced to pay high and old mrp, period. more

Rationalisation and reduction of Tax is required, but by charging high rate and then reducing is definitely going to create problem for the traders and the consumers. The government has to be blamed. more

The best possible action is to put stickers for reduction/enhancement followed by proper enforcement more

Madam, do you understand the magnitude of cost efforts to call the material back from the market? Second, if GST has already been paid at higher rate, how can the manufacturer claim back the excess GST paid. Accordingly, your suggestion is simply not practical and that's why the Government is increasing the time limit to liquidate old stocks. more

GOOD SUGGESSION. SOME OF US/ ASSOCIATIONS CAN TAKE SUCH STORES TO CONSUMER COURTS. MOST SELLERS HAVE CHEATED THE CLIENTS/CONSUMERS IN NAME OF GST. THEY HAVE BEEN CHARGING FULL RATE OF GST FROM, WITHOUT GIVING THE BENEFITS OF CASH BACK RECEIVED BY THEM FROM THE GOVERNMENTS ON ACCOUNT OF TAX PAID BY THE WHOLE SELLER. SOME SERVICE PROVIDERS HAVE BEEN CHARGING GST WITHOUT GIVING ANY BILL AND DEPOSITING THE TAX TO THE GOVERNMENT. CONSUMERS SHOULD PROTEST SUCH MALPRACTICES AND GO ONLY TO TRUSTED STORES /SHOPS FOR THE MAJOR SHOPPINGS. more
