GST total 58% charged by Amazon India online store

Two months ago, I bought a TV from Amazon India, even though the price was higher than Ebay. My justification was, Amazon is world renouned, but realised it is not so in India.
I end up paying 56% total GST(28% SGST,28% IGST or the like).
My question:
1. Is ther any category attracting 56% GST?
Note: From the bill it looks charged twice same amont instead of built in breakup)
2. If not so, let me know with advice to claim from Amazon India with interest, penaly and open appology. more

No. Max is 28%. If it is IGST then they cannot charge SGST. IGST outside the state. It is only IGST. But to sell within state It is SGST 14% & CGST14% totalling to 28% . Please paste the bill on this site. May be on FB,Tweeter, all sites . But scanned bill is must to prove. more
It will never exceed 28%, either in the form of IGST 28% or CGST-14% & SGST-14%. U may complain to CBIC or to the Regional GST Authority with documentation. more
Now the anti profiteering authority has been put in place, I think. more
Why the govt is hesitating to take action. Or is it that Amazon is too big for the govt to touch it!! more
We should not purchase anything from those who do not honor government directives. Such as Amazon, Donald and more. Buy what you want to buy from local shops as we did in past. There we can get explanation for whatever the issue. more
