Give GST time to settle in. Send your feedback to the right dept which you think will take action. Email to the minister directly. If you don't give feedbck on the spcific areas needing improvement then how can things move. Sick of listening to comments after comments - give your solutions. GST is good but the govt did not impliment it well. Typical in India - Impliment/build first, then Plan. For anything and everything - identify the problem and give suggestions for improvement. Stop blame game as corruption was there from British Raj and will take 2 generations to have new blood. People will always find loop holes not to pay tax - normal ji more
Paying tax is good. But it should be deposited and spend in right manner is important. Which lacks in india. Who pay the tax and who not pay the tax are treated equally. Govt and bureaucrat are not accountable to general public about their collection and spending. more
I agree with your views Mr Patro, though I am not advocating non-payment of taxes. I would add to your comment by telling that, in India not only tax payers and evaders are treated equally, those who do not pay taxes often become the public face and directly or indirectly become the policy makers, and thus rule over the tax payers. What a tyranny. more
Majority of citizens will not mind in paying legitimate taxes if the payment of tax do not pinch their pocket and they are treated fairly by the tax administrators. Instead of improving accountability of tax officers, target of collection of tax is fixed at the beginning of each financial year and to meet the target, the tax officers be it direct taxes or indirect taxes, tool of high handed assessments is resorted to. High rates of indirect taxes on necessities of the consumers is one of the factors. The cost of compliance and ease of compliance is another factor. End use of major amount of taxes collected need to for the benefit of the tax payers and not for meeting cost of administration. more
It was not only Mr. Jetly responsible for implementinting gst but total finance ministry. It is a failure on account of lethargic attitude of total paraphernalia. Coruuption in India has grown to the cancer in last stages and being transmitted through jeans to next generation in bigger peoportion and now no option except to wait for the end. more
Reporting to the authorities is a good suggestion. We find that the Government offices are slowly changing and working to improve the system. People are lethargic and do not want to report their problems. It is worthwhile to report as and when some problems are faced to rectify them. more
It is a massive change : We cannot make one small change in our own homes without protest. Please understand the inherent process of change introduction in a massive country like India, have patience and co-operate by highlighting the problem with a suggested solution if you can. Leteus understand the intentions of this Govt. are genuine and let us not fall into the reckless opposition. more
