GSTIN TO BE DISPLAYED ON NAME BOARDS & FRONT OF THE SHOPS AND BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENTS

I'm sure there will be many traders and manufacturers in this circle.
I received a watsapp message a few days ago stating that it is compulsory to display our GST number on the name boards and entrance of the shop.Failing which a penalty of up to 25000 rupees will be levied.Its a government rule.

If so :-

1) Is the GSTIN not supposed to be a traders personal indentification number???

2) Will there not be misuse of the same by any fraudsters ????

3)Will the name of the establishment and the GSTIN not enough to carry out transactions by non GST registered traders which are in plenty???

Will appreciate some information on this as I am unaware of the same more

GST # must be shared with all the authentic bodies with whom we do commercial deal. It is mandatory to mention GST registration number on each transaction. Hence nothing can be hidden or to be safeguarded. more
