Guns made in Western UP used in Delhi riots
Media reports today are saying that guns made in western up were used in Delhi riots. It says a countrymade pistol is available for ₹3,000-5,000 in parts of western Uttar Pradesh, such as Meerut, Shamli, and Muzaffarnagar. Automatic pistols in these same areas are available for ₹15,000-20,000 per piece.
What is the UP Govt doing to identify and shut all these units. Its a shame that such units are still running.

Pistols of un-known makes are sure;y available throughout the country. Western UP is not the sole supplier, I am sure. But it should be understood that there is no factory making such items. Normally the practice is to manufacture components in small workshops and then these components are assembled and sold. Probably there are a hundreds of workshops that manufacture the parts. These parts are then taken away and assembled God Knows Where.... maybe in individuals homes. more

Madam, if guns are so freely and cheaply available, then every common citizen should buy at least one with an ample supply of ammunition to defend themselves against rioters and mobs. Since this is not happening, hence, guns are not as freely available as you think or are being made to think by the sensationalist TRP hungry mass media. more
