Gurgaon vs Faridabad
Why is it that Faridabad and Karnal have been selected for Smart City and not Gurgaon. Is it because they want to develop those or is it because authorites, MLA, MP of Gurgaon have been unable to deliver and hence disqualified.
On one hand u have so many jobs here in GGN and bad infrastructure. would have been easier to convert this into Smart City. Please share your views and if you have inside information on what led to this pls share that? more

Dhbvn needs to improve its working as specially why customers again and again to approach the DHBVN for these kind of irregularities. DHBVN has to improve infrastructure/transparency in order to become customer favourable system more

In my opinion, the bad infrastructure, poor maintenance compliance, complacent approach by respective agencies etc. could be the main reason for omission. In a recent incidence, DHBVN did failed to raise bill for May to August and suddenly delivered bill for May & June in end August with some discrepancies. When approached, the person concerned was told out-rightly to bring his previous payment documents to justify his claim though DHBVN have well documented records on their Computer. On bringing hard copies the authorities realized the error and then assured for rectification without any time limit. Incidentally, one may find complete report in todays DANIK JAGRAN that how the DHBVN appointed agents have not deposited their part of collection to DHBVN account leading to cash starve the corporation and led generating arrears on consumer's account. All this happened under the nose of authorities who remained totally unaware of ongoing activities. Though created and claimed for digitilisation, many times the site fails to respond especially MCG. more

I think people did not understand my point when I said Benegaluru. I mean there is something fishy from Local agencies side that they have given camouflage facts and figure and eligible contender failed to part of Smart City and non-merits are in the list. This is already published in several news papers too. Even FBD mentioned that they have more revenue compare to GGN. But on the ground, FBD owes too much money from GGN and they have to pay back. Another bad side was GGN have implemented several systems and put most of the departments on eServices. So most of the facts are fetched from there. But FBD and KNL prepared those facts manually and there is no supporting available. Think about Ghaziabad, (Famous for Crime) presented that they are very low on Crime Rate and Beat Noida in terms of Crime Rate, Facilities, Revenue and other area and it is known fact that Noida is far better than Ghaziabad but failed to present the facts. Most of good cities who are already on computerized systems are failed in this race because of this reason. more

Agree Prashant! So a strong non-corrupt IAS Administrator with a team hired from the corporate world (Engineers, Town Planners, Traffic and Sanitation experts wilk form the planning and governing body completely controlling and directing HUDA, MCG and Private Colonisers. more

We are in Gurgaon and are concerned with Gurgaon only , Bangalore didnt qualify is none of our business , their ammeneties are not going to help or disturb us. Sunil ji we all as concerned citizens have only two options - one we who are associated with various voluntary organisations are trying to push for basic reforms thru civic bodies ( all these are embroiled into various administrative and legal issues ) e.g. colonies are part of councillors wards but dont fall under Municipal authorities , once same is done we have to pay Property tax and other charges to MCG which till this time we are paying to colonisers ( legal issue is MCG is demanding in retrospect which citizens are not willing to rather shouldn't pay as its already paid to colonisers ) Second approach is when we buy a flat or property demand clarifications on ammeneties and maintenance and understanding with authorities , if its HUDA plot which falls under MCG , as they are charging EDC but not spending money on ammeneties ( u must hv seen reports how HUDA has shown losses of 2700 crores ( surprisingly they have bought costlier land but not taken care of existing ones ) and District town and planning deptt has given them 2000crore from EDC charges paid by residents , means residents hard earned money going down the drains , all these are not known to common man , its high time people have to join hands at various forms and start speaking , we should start asking these questions first to our councillors and start writing to HUDA and MCG , it should become a mass movement. Why we forget we are a democracy with highest level of civic indiscipline and all these babus are part of this society only , hence is the sufferings. we have to help ourselves more
