my brother and self bought one property some time back.After my brother passed away with out any will, my brothers son on his own got in to an agreement to sell the property and with out my knowledge handed over the property to one person, i was away and did not know what happened till such time i came back to know that some one has started a workshop in our plot. The person claims that he has bought the plot. The original registered sale documents are with me. I have gone to court on this matter and this has not come for hearing since last three years. I want to know who should pay the property tax,ie me or the person who in now occupying the plot, secondly i want to know if i can approach the electricity board people to disconnect power supply to the plot. more

Very good question. You may submit attested copies duly notarized along with original, along with your request letter to court to return the originals, verification of the authenticity of the original documents. more
