HARASSMENT FROM CREDIT CARD ISSUERS

Recently I had a very bad experience from Tata Cards. About four months back I saw an alert that Rs.10,000/ withdrawn from ATM on a mid-night using our CC number. On reading the same early morning I contacted them and reported the incident and also instructed to cancel / block the CCs being used by me & family as I suspected a fraudulent activity. This was done and confirmed, and followed with many calls by them to issue new cards. In fact they already issued new card in my son's name. Immediately we responded with a request to stop issuing new cards till the issue is sorted out in total. My account was also credited with the amount, though no official communication came of resolving the issue. Surprisingly after more than a month when I got statement dated 12th May, I found that the subject Rs.10,000/ reappeared. On contacting I was informed the earlier credit was a temporary credit and since they found that the ATM concerned has dispensed with cash, they are debiting it back. My many mails informing them that all original cards were safe in my custody and that I am not responsible for somebody mis-using the infrastructure to defraud must not be my problem, did not have any reasonable response (they kept on repeating the earlier reply). Now I start getting many calls from many of their representatives who f/u for payments. No solution from such responsible / strong brands such as TATA / SBI, excepting my BP shoots up. Afterwards I started reading newspaper reports on CC cloning and I am shit scared Of using CCs.
The most responsible companies were also reminded many times with copies of relevant cuts . But they stick to their policy of dumping the customers, they are not even ready to look at my track record of ten years using Tata card and about 15 years of using SBI card, they must have made more income than the Rs.10,000/ in question. I also told them that I never withdrew any cash using my CCs. But they act as if I am responsible for their ATM, I fabricate their CCs and I write their software and I install their security system in place.
Any similar experience for anybody? Any resource / advocate who can take up the case? more

There are many services (like insurance for example) for which one makes the payment using one's credit card. One does not know, that the fine print reads "Auto Renewal" and each year, the credit card honours such auto renewal debits without any specific approval by the card holder, who has to make the payment, when due. How can such auto renewal be allowed, unless it is explicitly stated in bold letters for which a separate sanction should be taken from the card holder. more
The action required is report misappropriation from Credit Card to Police Station and obtaining a copy of complaint sign & stamped by the SHO 2. Changing password visiting Bank branch or using your mobile. 3, Issuing 7 day notice to customer-care of the bank to desist from demanding credit amount and repeating the matter to the Nodal Officer of that bank by a written or email through one week notice if no reply from the customer-care. Written notice should be send by Speed Post and pasting the post office receipt on copy of complaint with you. Email notices are the best options more
