Hard water in Noida
Noida authority and DM Noid, what actions are you all taking to reduce water hardness in Noida. Hard water has major side effects like skin issues, hIr loss and kidney stones. See attached how water was coming in antariksh apartments yesterday.

In a scenario where water availability is becoming a major issue, we should be thankful if we get any piped water - hard or soft - at all! Water softeners can be purchased to deal with the hardness of water. more

We all have to make own arrangements for ground water as the inefficient, non-accountable and Lethargic Noida Authority can't get us clean piped water. In our Sector 19, we get water like Coke/Pepsi with mud/iron particles virtually everyday. Supply of so called Ganga water is just a lip service and merely on paper. Our corrupt system at all levels always support itself at the cost of innocent public/Tax payer. more

Why all these societies have to depend on ground water. Why no effort is made to get the piped water more

In an apartment building, if constructed, after 2006, dual plumbing should have been implemented in accordance with MoEF EIA norms and at least grey water treated & recycled for (re)use in flushing and horticulture-your fresh water demand will immediately drop of 35-40%. The potable water supply in Noida post Ganga water mixing is vastly improved and at least we get water TDS in the range of 100-125 mg/l regularly- my wife keeps on testing it through handy TDS meter at home. A cartridge filter and UV works for kitchen use-NO RO NEEDED. Although, the problem of silt persists. The overhead tanks needs cleaning very 2-3 months. I suspect it to be due to mixing of rainy well water and no sand filtration at municipal source. more
