I fully agree with Sengupta. Harshest penalty equal to life term should be imposed & no one including President of India should have powers to reduce even under Mercy or any other type of petitions. more

Why are the people and both executive and judiciary concentrating only on child rapes? Then are the other rapes a non punishable offence? Rape is a heinous crime, it shatters the life of the person against whom it is committed. Every single rape is a rarest of rare, no exception should be taken, law need to be harsh and so should the police be trained for how to deal in these situation. Like polio can't we wow to eradicate crime against women in India? more

Any crime against children should be punished. Its not just rapes... Yes.. just rapes.. the following things destroy the lives of children- 1. Innocence of children taken undue advantage of 2. Drug abuse on children 3. Influence of alcohol 4. Rape & Sexual abuse 5. Murder & Mayhem on the children 6. Sadistic use of children 7. Forced child labor 8. Parental Alienation due to increase in divorces. 8. Abandoning babies 9. Killing babies 10. Producing children & not being able to take care of them.. 11. Abduction, trafficking, etc. All of these abuses should come under scanner & people need to be punished for it... If we can round up the major criminals, many of these crimes will come down. more

it proves that no political party wants to take this matter seriously at all because ....when they come in power or not they are well protected by high security and another major reason that they do not want to lose the votes of even rapists......... more
