Hawkers or Commuters which will have progress & hygiene?
Thane, Mumbai stations and footpaths are full of hawkers.
It is of course hawkers' right to have a living but at a cost of commuters experiencing full time crowd negotiation and their own hygiene and safety.
All roads, footpaths and stations can't be market places especially when a commuter is fighting to catch a train and reaching a place.
Also, hygiene is a major cause of concern and risk. This is because numerous commuters interact with numerous vendors causing spread of infections, it could be a major reason for the spread of diseases.
If the administration could take steps to move the entire hawkers market to a place away from these areas which will make the stations, foot paths crowd-free. There will not be traffic jams. The paces would be more safe and hygienic.
