Health Insurance Premium Increase

I came across the survey by LocalCircles on Health Insurance premium rising in Deccan Herald news paper yesterday and looked up the report below this morning

This is super super accurate and unfortunate and we all must have a drive to escalate this to IRDA the regulator along with LC Manager.

If we won’t do so our parents generation will keep getting squeezed and soon we all will too.

Lets act all by creating awareness about this mega loot by insurance companies more

Yes they are in the business of making money and not your welfare. more
My own experience is that due to COVID my family insurance was increased by 75 percent in 2021, and i went wild with the area managers and they finally reduced that gap to 45 per cent. Govt must take a serious note. more
Guys it is all done with the blessings of the govt ,so no use grumbling. All PSU insurance companies will give a bumper dividend to the govt and also spend their CSR funds where the govt points at. more
We have been taking mediclaim with Bajaj Allianze since last year , this year they have not renewed the same despite of reminders . The orignal insurance was with Apollo Thro' Canara bank since Last five years , the premium was maintained , ^ increased slowly every year . however Canara Bank - changed there tie~up from Apollo to bajaj allianze , for the first year they charged as well as Apollo , but his year they are demanding more then double the amount . That too, and now, when we protested & criticized they are making some or the other excuse & not renewing our Policy. My wife has just corssed 64 & I am 68. more
Not only premiums are increasing rampantly, as if there is no regulator, but in case of senior citizens, most insurance companies would find excuses to deny policy or if exisitng policy holder, then try to reject/ lower claim under some silly excuses. I am 72 and taking health insurance policy for more than 35 yrs, intermittently the change of insurer ( agents have their own incentives n would indulge in all such nefarious activities) or discontinued policy: delay in some days, low follow up. I must have easily paid overall premium of more than 5L as principal premium and which may be more than 15L if compounding is taken into consideration. Instead, if such some would have been invested in a mutual fund, the corpus would have grown to 20/25 L to fully take care of my old age medical requirements. there is a need for MF Industry to design a suitable product which is more effective. Central Govt and IRDA is hand in gloves with these insurance sharks. A R Singhal 9460043945 more
