Healthcare in India
This most important need is almost non-existent and only a few insurance companies advertise of policies but where is infrastructure with them to give facilities to cheated public.Govt socalled sadar or public hospitals are only melas with a routine first-aid facilities or a doctor sitting like a auto-registrar to write prescriptions.If you know treatment,guide him to right your medicines,otherwise he will right a medicine which he wants to sell to you.Dispensary of area is not for public,it for some staff to give a salary or place to play cards.Medical degrees in India are for status,not for professional skills or devotion to health services.This is status of services.
Now ,what is required to be done?1.Take a policy decision and design.2.After every 10 km a hospital with all facilities and testing inside.3.Authorised chemist shops ,for free medicines to patients against precriptions and tests infrastructur in boundary of hospital,free.4.Free healthcare and insurance to all against 10% medical tax by all,poor or rich,equal wards and follow first come first served.
It is not impossible.It is being successfully used in Toronto for more than 20 years.If interested,contact I shall get you to show what is hospital and health facility and how to use it.You simply train medicos,stop calling these butcers as doctors. more
