Hefty fines for non disposal of solid and semi-solid waste
I have already suggested that there should be hefty fine imposed on the people not disposing off solid and semi-solid waste after organising weddings, receptions, dinners, lunches, seminars, picnics etc. This can be easily imposed by keeping an eye on the function halls, marriage gardens, convention halls, hotels etc. The vigil can be kept by the local civic authorities. Any laxity in imposing the fine by these civic authorities can be monitored by public. The fine should be big enough to act as real deterrent. Non-payment of fine should result into Community Service type punishment. more
very rightly said. i want to add -- their should be ceiling to no of invitees in such functions. there is ngo (s) WHO COLLECTS waist /ok food for the needy people. this way a great problem can be solved along following the indian philoshophy "' Ann bhagawan hota hai'" Dr R P LOHUMI more
I first agree with Modi's call for every individual participating in this endeavor by spending 2 hours a week minimum. In doing this people will become more aware and cleanliness and start implementing it where ever they go. Inorder to make this effective the collected Garbage needs to be compacted and taken to remote place where recyclables and non-recyclables are separated and dumped. Enviornmental agencies should come forward to provide guidelines on how best to discard the waste. Let us stick to basics and keep our surroundings clean and create awareness.. lead by example! more
