Hi All, Myself Anil Kohli resident of Ground Floor, H-Block, Sainik Colony, Faridabad. I want to know the MCF House tax policy for the single floor owner of 250 sq. yard. As I came to know that the rate for the full building owner is Rs1 per sq. yard means Rs. 250/- for 250 sq. yard and rate for single floor is based on the covered area means if the covered area of a 250 sq. yard land is 1500 sq. ft. per floor,then the house tax is Rs. 1500 per floor owner. can you help me.

Thanks Mr. Gupta for giving information. I went to MCF and received a form for filling up house tax. They are following up the instructions printed on the back of this form which is covered are per sq. ft not per sq. yard. Kindly clarify. it is decided on the basis of covered area /per sq yds. You may contact MCF. But please note that this policy is applicable wef 2010-11 i.e. 1st April 2010 and therefore in case, you have already deposited the higehr amount, there is no need to deposit but ask MCF to adjust the excess amount deposited in the next years or refund for the excess amount deposited. Please inform all of your residents in this regards. I am informaing with authroity and I and residents sof my society have already claimed it. more

Yes, it is per floor as the area also becomes double in 2 storey construction. But the house tax must be Rs. 250/- per floor and not Rs. 1500/-. more
