High Amount of Taxes

Yesterday me and my friend sat down and just for fun started calculating the an average Middle class person might be paying how total tax and since then I am shocked and amazed and very much worried, our calculation say that more than 60% of our income is being spent on different taxes.
Unfortunately we did the calculations on a rough paper and I did not preserve it and may be our calculation has flaws.
Hence can anyone put light on this please. more

Basic issue is that will the manufactures print the MRP on the product. If yes than will the retailer charge GST again from customer? more
My calculation is for a reasonably placed person.First of all we are not getting proper facility.Secondly after retirement we hardly get any assistance from the Government. For this mostly corruption and over population is responsible. more
We would not grudge paying such high taxes if facilities provided by the government were satisfactory. One one hand we have very poor infrastructure overall and on the other hand we have to fend for ourselves in our old age. more
In India the Taxes are heavily laid and no one had a Protest. Other country laid very few taxes and pgive Good Services. The Govt should think on this. more
It all depends how you calculate your taxes. if you do not have to pay taxes, then your salary also will not be that much. more
No Sir its not only about the Calculation, I have noticed it practically the sudden increase in expenditure, and I feel it very unfair there should be a relaxation somewhere my salary is not so high and it is sometimes difficult to survive with these High taxes, more over there is no security also for us in an event of loss of Job, which is so unfair. more
