Satya Dev Beta, rush your mom to a doctor and seek their consultation before any serious damage is done. No need to waste precious time and look for assistance from this Circle when conditions are serious..... But then as a Yoga teacher I also wonder that you should ask the Circle for assistance in such situations..... more
Elevated blood pressure impairs the pumping function of heart and if untreated damages the heart, brain and kidneys. Sodium restricted diet along with yoga, exercises and modification in life style is recommended for current situationDr. (Mrs.) Balwinder Sadana Ex  Head Department of Foods and Nutrition College of Home Science Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana-141004 08146588709 (M) On Saturday, October 10, 2015 9:25 AM, Satya Deo Pandey wrote: more
I am a senior citizen in my eighties.. I have been suffering from high BP for more than three and a half decades and sometimes it touches 200/120. This has occurred only when I went irregular in my medcinal doses. Immediately almost no-salt diets and strict monitoring of medicine timingsm brings me to almost normal. Keep her happy and smiling and plenty of liquids more
The ideal is 120/80 but with increasing age it usually gets a little higher. How long is the 200/90 maintained. As suggested by Anand ji you need to check the other health parameters like lipid profile and other tests to understand the functioning of other organs like kidney etc that have a role in maintenance of Blood Pressure. more
