The stamp-vendors in noida are charging a hefty amount when you buy stamp paper .for example a stamp paper of rs 10. 00 we have to pay minimum 25.00 in sub registrar office of noida. authorities should check it. more

@Aditi - I can see one news regarding this: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/noida/E-stamping-launched-in-Gautam-Budh-Nagar/articleshow/21064244.cms but it for 10000/- and above. Most of us deal with less than this amount and this is where they are making the killing. Recently I have to get 10/- Stamp Paper and he charged 50/- for that. Whenever I have to deal with these Govt. dept.'s I really feel sick, the officers over there have become ...(fill in the blank)... There only aim is to extract money from masses by hook or by crook. In states like UP this is even more prevalent because the Govt.'s running it are brokers then administrators. They are shame on the system. I also blame our Indian society for this as for long we have given too much respect to these Govt. Officers who are good for nothing except few. I guess this country is alive because of them. more

These welfare activities for public are not on the agenda of rulers of UP. I faced a stamp seller who asked 40 for stamp paper of Rs 5/-. On my resistance the answer was I can take any step and that vendor was not afraid since the extra money charges is shared by high officials. Now is high official posted for enforcing discipline or meant make extra money with these practices. more
