HIGH RATE OF 28% GST ON ON TOILET & SANITARY GOODS

The GST rate is very high of 28% on toilet & sanitary goods like the plastic flushing cisterns and plastic toilet seat cover,which are usually used by lower middle class.
Why govt. & GST Council consider the toilet a luxury ,though it is a necessity.
On one side,there is swachh bharat mission,on the other side,there is highest rate of GST on the toilet goods.Is that the govt. is befooling the general public in the name of swachh bharat.
On one side,the govt. is advertising for pradhanmantri affordable houses scheme,on the other side enhancing the cost of houses by enforcing highest rate of 28% GST on sanitary and building material.
It seems these missions are only for TV publicity and practically not for the benefits of general public. more
