Hindware chimneys are being imported from china with wrong specification in means of measures of airflow and are being sold to consumer all over india. Asci has upheld add and consumer forum has tested airflow it came as 463 meter cube per hour were as written box 820 meter cube per hour higher the airflow higher the price.fraud with consumers. Bis should make it mandatory to put isi mark to end wrong specification import. And save indian chimneys industry and innocent consumers.

Till the time we would not be able to produce quality products and market them at competitive price, 'MAKE IN INDIA' would be a far cry. Sub standard products produced in foreign countries shall flood the market and our leaders, otherwise with loud voices, shall remain mute spectators on this issue.

My experience with Hindware product (design) has been terrible. Have been complaining to them for last one year, but they simply send a technician, who does some temporary cover up, but cannot solve the problem as product design is flawed. A totally fraud company.

Hindware if I understand correctly stands short form for Hindustan Ware...so if chinese products are being marketed then where is the Make in India deployment and why should the Government not put hindware in hindsight?

Mere BIS mark is not sufficient, Consumer protection is a must. I observed that China supplies low quality goods to India, but they supply superior quality to Europe, Australia because local vendors have to payback 100% money to consumer or have to rectify defect timely & free of cost at consumers door no matter which is country of origin. Further importers use Clause 180 to get back money from foreign suppliers. Banks question their importers before issuing guarantees for next LC, Letter of Credit for same foreign supplier. In short our Consumer Protection laws need quicker enforcement through the hands of Tardy /Lethargic Indian Judiciary procedures & Unending limitless hearing dates. The same way there is a need for sharing Data base of Credit worthiness of Foreign Suppliers & how fast they settle reverse Importers monetary claims. Such information to be shared by Bankers Importers.
