Hold em accountable

I find that generally local circles has the most active of all citizens always concerned about various things and giving inputs. this is what has been issed by delhi pollution dept and the green tribunal.

Can each one of us please read it and start doing halla about it by calling people, on social media, by sending emails.

otherwise how will things get better with this dirty air. more

Referring to the comments of Shri G C Mathur, I also agree that even the issue of pollution is also made as political. The pollution is much more in Haryana ans UP but only the Delhi Govt is being defamed. At least something is being done in Delhi but their are no orders on Haryana and UP as both States are led by BJP. One can see various posts on social media as well as media all seems to be defaming Delhi Govt. Lets stop piliticisation. Refer to the comments of Shri Anil Vijh regarding compensation by Delhi to Haryana. No comments on their intelluctual level. In fact we need to be compensated by Haryana Govt for not taking corrective steps and still construction activities going on. more
In the winter the wind direction is North to South hence Haryana has no technical ground either for seeking compensation. We must hold this minister accountable for misrepresentation as well. And seek his resignation on account for low IQ and incompetence. more
Our problem is, playing politics with everything that concerns health of the people and environment, education of children, professional academic education, and healthcare delivery that should be totally out of the purview of political governance. In fact, we the citizens of India should now think of having a government that is totally non-political, non-religious and non-commercial and that concerns itself by 'governing of the democracy' and nothing else. Political parties in power have nothing to do with the governance of democracy, but to do more with 'how to rule over us'. more
Going by the past experience regarding the attitude of citizens of Delhi (they are insensitive towards the city they live in) and misplaced priorities of our governing agencies, we are destined to live in the shadowy company of pollution in the foreseeable future. It is only during these two months of Nov and mid Dec when a lot of hue and cry is made and neighboring states are blamed for paddy residue burning year after year but nothing happens on ground. It is the same story of various agencies passing the buck to each other. There is no policy at state or center level. If it is there then what prevents Govt. to enforce it? It is the vote bank. Come December rains and the issue will get relegated to the back burner for next 10 months. The citizens are happy and the Politicians and bureaucrats are happy that "the pollution" is gone. At least it is not visible (sic.) whereas the fact of the matter is that the pollution levels remain above the acceptable limits throughout the year and 99.9% population is not aware of the long term harm it is doing to them. more
For transforming Delhi, few suggestions wrt pollution : 1.free flow of traffic : avoid / reduce congestion on cross roads even if elevated roads are required. 2. Vacuum cleaning of roads. 3. Reduce activity time with better coordination amongst various agency. 4. Parali issue : educate the farmers , use of modern technology and study worldwide solution , some economic incentive to farmers including buying to use as fuel for boilers . 5. Creation of ponds for water storage including improving quantity and quality of water in the river Yamuna and other rivers flowing in NCR region. 6. Increase DTC fleet to be 15000. 7. Issue to be taken on National level with the involvement of state representatives. 8. All issues to resolved divided into short term and long term with clear cut responsibility , time frame and finances. All finances to be born by Centre. 9. Clear cut policy on waste disposal thru burning. 10. Speed limit on express ways to be limited say about 60 km from 8 pm to 8 am and adequate warning to motorists. Thanks. more
