Home delivery of public services shot down by LG

The Lieutenant Governor has said the present proposal has implications for the "safety and security of women and senior citizens", the possibility of corruption, bad behaviour, breach of privacy, loss of documents and would incur unnecessary expenditure for the government and the people. He also pointed out that the trips by the agency employees would add to the congestion and pollution on the roads.

Can people please share their views on this or may be localcircles can conduct polls on this so what people want happens rather then the thought process of one person.

Presently for Election ID through online the person comes from local office to verify and collect documents. I did for my family members no issue in this. RTO is also now renew DL online and deliver at your door step. BSES and DJB are also doing same practice. Why not other services should be online. more
I entirely agree with LG. This proposal of Delhi Govt. will definitely be a source of corruption. They will ask for bakshish when they provide service at home. more
It's like earlier times when postmen expected Bakshish but it's no compulsion. One can't let go so many advantages for unsubstantiated fears . more
One can always refuse bakshish. more
Now they ask when you go to their office. more
While I agree with Rajeeva Gupta's Comment here, Ashwani Khanna is also right .. as long it is an option & not compulsory .. more
Hahaha....Some joke ? Firstly, it's an option & not compulsory. Is he trying to say that its more safe for women & senior citizens to go to various offices than receive services at home. If everyone goes to various departments the traffic will certainly be more than few persons moving around to provide services at home. It is indeed very illogical logic. The less said the better. more
True I am agree with your point of view. more
When there are so many services with door step delivery like 1. Posts 2. Bills 3. Gas 4. Water 5. Courier & Parcels ...etc.. There are enough ways to ensure the safety of women, men, children, senior citizens, etc.. Just install CCTV cameras. Which the LG has not done. Because Delhi Police comes directly under the central govt & the LG. Just to hide his inefficiencies, one can't ignore essential services!! more
Very Bad Decision of LG more
