Home Saaz have stopped charging of taxes on discounted MRP.
Dear Community members, Please recall my several posts on charging of taxes by almost all major retailers on the discounted sale prices. Among many posts, one of the post was also such unethical business practices by Home Saaz in Faridabad and other cities. The request was raised to Govt of Haryana and based on the complaints, Govt of Haryana have intervened and challaned the retailer.
Recently I have a chance to do shopping at Home Saaz wherein the sale discount was advertised at 35% of MRP. It is my pleasure in informing you the Home Saaz had stopped charging of taxes on the discounted prices not only in Faridabad but in other cities too. The scanned copies of the bills are attached. Incidentally I found many other retailers charging the taxes on discounted prices, the issue of which has also been raised before Govt of Haryana. GST is to be paid on merchandise at actual Sales price. In this cast it is discounted price. If it is paid on full 100% earlier price, it is wrong. more

Congratulations on putting in so much effort & succeeding in achieving the desired results . There should be some agency to advertise such cases to enlighten other customers & to discourage such other retailers . more
