Honey to a 2 year old

Hi Doctor/other parents:

The two year old seems to be struggling with throat. Can we give him honey based home made ayurvedic drink...(with tulsi, mishri etc) more

Yes, have had this controversy with my mother-in-law. Doctors say, don't give honey to infants and she would say that honey is the best thing and everyone gives a lot of honey to infants in her village :) Needed a lot of convincing to avoid honey for my kids.. more
