Hospitals charging surge pricing

Hospitals in India are introducing additional charges, such as disinfection fees and peak operation theatre charges, leading to a 20% rise in medical costs. This is craziness for patients who as it is are paying through the nose for medical services.

Everyone please read attached and let us fight against such malpractices.

Most hospitals take various benefits like land etc from Govt and to charge such charges is just plain loot. more

Surge pricing is ethically wrong, especially in case of any health service. Government control does not help as leads to corruption. So no easy solution! Hospital management needs to be service oriented which they definitely are not. more
Education and Health are primary duties of any Government. These two things should be under full Government control. Local circles should take it up with the Government quoting specific cases. more
we are blaming the things without the knowledge . we should know that to become a doctor is tough and taking more time for study and money compare to IAS/ IPS. After that doctor in India not getting respect from public. More over in our country we like to spend money in hotels but not in health. more
Question is.. who made medical studies expensive?
Why people still queue up to study an expensive subject? It is the money + other incentives which attracts them. It is always demand vs. supply. The quality of students are also to blame. Blame our system of reservation + hype for medical courses for this condition. more
The only way out is Govt making good Govt hospitals. Govt has to be in business to control the business. Unless that happens nothing can change. more
All hospitals are crooks with the blessings of health ministry more
