When this girl was brought to a Oyo hotel for rape why did Oyo procedures not demand certain things from the culprit.

Perhaps if there were standards in the country for aggregators they would have stopped them from taking the girl inside.
Why does this not happen at Hyatt savoy suites lemon tree and other hotels.

I am sorry about the incident but question why the girl had to go out at night when the boy called her???? Why did she not inform her parents. Why did she agree to go to the OYO hotel with him? This is what happens in India. My granddaughter and her mother are friends. They speak about everything and the girl does not lie. She tells her mother everything. Because of these hush-hush relationships things go wrong. We never allow our children to go out at night without knowing where they are going or with who. more

Yes, you are 100% right Mrs. Bulsara. The girl herself is also equally responsible for her sorry state of affairs. In many of such cases, things happen with mutual understanding but later the girls with ulterior motives lodge complaints knowing well that the public sympathy and the laws of the land will be with her. If the Police strictly interogate the girl as well, the truth will certainly come out. more

How you can compare lakhs of hotels in the country with Hyatt or Taj or any other hotels of such standard, which are meant only for people from elite groups. 99% hotels of the country survive only by flouting rules & laws and appeasing the people from crime world. Therefore, such hotels & establishments need to be always kept in focus of the respective authorities. more

A Standard can not stop a crime to take place. It is the law and order which matters. The existing rules says a Hotel is required to obtain identity proof of the inmates and obliged to report to local police. more

Hotels are required to verify and record the identity of the guest, by copy of Adhaar/Driving Licence/Passport. They are supposed to alert the police if they sense anything untoward. more
