How banks are compromising your Aadhar

Here attached is an example of how Citibank is giving a 3rd party called Experian (netherlands based) access to your aadhaar once you link it with your bank account. Can some one from Consumer Affairs dept please take this up with UIDAI? more

It is just a bogus hue and cry against linking aadhar with bank account and just oppose what Govt is doing to curb black money and hide the income or transactions by having multiple bank accounts in same name or fictitious name especially in private banks like citi bank more
Many Banks have such many Accounts and Safe Lockers with undisclosed wealth . more
In addition to the action suggested by Rohit Jain in his posting "How banks are compromising your Aadhar", I would suggest that consumers while submitting Aadhaar Card copies to Banks and telecom service providers must put a note thereon on these lines' "I am providing copy of my Aadhaar Card to you with the condition that you or your associates or your service providers will not pass on any information arising or emanating from this document without my consent failing which you will be held responsible for damages caused to me." more
I do not think it wise to give Aadhar details to Citibank. more
Please do site any example of Banks' blocking the account for action to be taken. more
Please follow the guidelines given by Mr. Mathur more
If Aadhar details not linked/given to bank (Nationalised and co operative bank), than they block your account.
so no transaction can be carried out through that account.

in such scenario, what customer should do ?
Should they give details or no ? more
Without 'if's and 'but's government policies (rules) are not possible... NEVER BE IN A HURRY to 'link' ... be bold enough, think many times and 'link' only when at most essential and compulsory..... In most case, business houses would not risk to loose a customer. Collective non-co-operation, being a normal customer/ consumer, is one of the strong method to protest cumbersome and risky 'linking'... more
Once we have gone for Aadhar, this disclosure worldwide of our personal data is ienviable... We, the non-entities, are now known worldwide and we have nothing to loose except our chains! As long as money is not stolen from our bank accounts and none of us is pestered with too many electronic advertisements and well-meaning correspondences , and none of us become targets of psychopathic killers because of availability of such information.... I do not see anything negative...... Will someone be kind enough to advise me what are the bad things that can befall me if my e-mail address/Aadhar No. /Passport No./Voter card No. etc. be public property?? I suspect all of these for me are already available worldwide, unknown to me .. I have been forced to reveal those personal information so many times in so many places!! more
must complain to ministry of uadi. more
