How can we save 12L liter petrol ..

I see good number of private schools in Noida charging exorbitant fee. Several middle class families, sending their kids to these schools because they think these schools will help their kids to get good education even though school fee is very high

These schools also charge transportation cost which is very high (Rs 3300 to Rs 6000 month) and parents find this as an opportunity to save money. Some do car pooling, some drop using auto services etc and I am one among them. Just for curiosity i counted number of cars one day and to my surprise the number was more than 200. The number of such private schools in Noida will be easily 30+ . For simple calculation, i am taking only 25 school
= 200 (cars) * 1(ltr petrol)*20days(month)*25(schools) *12 months= 12 lac liter
That means 12L lit petrol is consumed in one city. Consider now across India.

If school buses reduce the fee, without thinking any profit on this service( anyways these people earn lot on other charges) which i think they can afford, crores of liter petrol can be saved. The small sacrifice of school management will help lot in reducing the pollution and consumption of petrol.

Our PM requested to leave gas subsidy and many people accepted the request. Can we request govt to appeal these school authorities. Small sacrifice from schools will do wonders

What do you think ?? more

Government need to frame rules and regulations for schools, else in future there will be havoc and agitation. more
Why should one bother about those schools if one cannot afford it. Let people with money put their children in such schools. Paying more money does not mean that good education is being imparted. There are very good schools charging lower fees giving good education. more
What I was trying to say that there is vast difference between profiteering and exploiting. Business can run on PROFITS only but percentage of profit can not be FEW 100% of value. When Indira Gandhi stopped Ambassador car manufacturer from increasing price, they went to Supreme court where they won case and court ordered government to allow them to increase prices so that they can earn some specific percentage of cost. To give one example, once crude prices increased by 20%, which affects transportation cost of food grains. Now Tur Daal price was increased by 30% of earlier price but actual effect was only few percent of its price as transportation cost would have been only few percent of its price. This is PROFITEERING WHICH NEEDS TO BE CONTROLLED VERY BADLY IN THIS COUNTRY. One has to accept that our Economy does not run on economic principles. more
Good suggestion but money oriented private schools listen to this? more
You are RIGHT. But the BIGGER QUESTION is Will they Reduce? I Doubt. They want to Make Maximum Profit. In Addition they have to PAY to the School Authorities (kind of BRIBE) to get Opportunity to Run the Buses for the Schools. This Component is Never Disclosed. But it is there. You can Confirm. more
