The same product is packed and sold in big bazar hyper city reliance super and local stores.
Never eating it again.
Why cant it be a requirement that any packaged food for sale requires certification? FSSAI?? more

I recently got a video clip on WA which was a news feed from a channel. A Golgappa/Paani Puri seller in Ahmedabad(Gujarat) was mixing toilet cleaner in the paani-puri water for kick. He has been fined and sent behind bars for 6 months. Same channel when they did a survey of Mumbai and Delhi found that the potatoes used for the paani-puri filling is maggot infested, unhygenic and mostly is the dumped potatoes from market which is picked up and recycled. I have heard that tomotoes from Subzi Mandi - the rotting and smashed ones are also picked up by Dhaaba owners at throw away price and they extract puree from this and prepare Shahi Paneer and other dishes. What a Shahi way of cheating! Vendors these days have become so money minded and greedy that they don't think of the harm they cause or playing with lives of people - their own customers. We are surviving solely due to God's Grace and Delhi Government's Mohalla Clinic. :) more
We should recognise the facts that 'poverty and ids alleviation' is one subject and 'manufacture and sell of foods in an unhygienic conditions' is another subject. Will the big-sellers put disclaimers on such products like'This product has come from poor producers ,and hence, product quality can't be assured. A purchaser has to consume such material at his/her own risk, ...................' more
Whether this fact has come to the notice of the food inspectors in the area ? more
Roadside open drains also used for Cartage Tiffin Centers in many Towns & dirty Foot paths in Cities . more
Why only chikki? There are hundreds of products being manufactured & prepared in most unhygienic way and in dirty environment without bothering that these will be consumed by humane beings and not by the beasts. Our only concern is to make money for ourselves in any way letting the people go to hell. Its fine that you have decided not to eat chikki again but what about other essential commodities of daily use? What will FSSAI do? There are millions of tiny & cottage industries grown up in every corner who are manufacturing different kind of items used in our foods without caring for anything. Tomorrow they will print the name of FSSAI in the wrappers of their packaging without getting a licence and following their guidelines! Will that improve and assure the quality? ISI is also the quality controller of household items but their emblem is easily available in the market at the cost of a few penny and being consumers we are often made fools by the manufacturers of inferior quality items falsely branded with ISI mark but till now the institute couldn't do anything against such spurious manufacturers. So there are no reasons that FSSAI will set right everything & every time. Being consumers, we should remain alert at all times and wisely decide as to which should we consume and what not! more
These are products produced by small scale producers, mostly home produce and so they should not need any certification. If you do not want to buy, do not, but do not create problems for these poor producers. This has become fashion these days to ask on questions just as a matter of attitude showing. Please stop it and let poor people make some living. more
