How important is it to get Flu shots
Lot of people back in the states get Flu shots in October. Is there any value for us to get kids a flu shot here in Delhi. Any disadvantages?? more

Till 2009 H1N1(swine Flu) epidemic Flu shot was being given to high risk kids only, now everyone should get one. it will increase body immunity, not decrease. Elderly persons specially with diabetes, asthma or heart problems must also get a shot. In India disease is not winter specific but related to rains. Vaccine has three strains to cover regular & swine flu . more

no. not at all. vaccines are given so that the body gets antibodies ready. so whenever the infection occurs, the antibodies are ready. its like reading for exams. either u read round the year, or u read 3 days before. the idea is passing. by the same example, one may still not score very well cause the set of questions is too variable. likewise, there are many viruses causing flu like syndrome. in fact, many people who will be immunodeficient are vaccinated. vaccines always boost immunity more
