How many chances does Hope get?

I won’t ask if you’re voting – that I’ll take as a given. Vote you must – any color, any symbol, any ideology or even NOTA – and vote you will. By evening on voting day, I know you’ll sport a little dot of indelible ink to signify the indelible mark you have left on our democratic future.

Next comes the ‘who’. If you are a confirmed and unwavering supporter of an ideology or a candidate, again – no arguments. Go fulfill your commitment to it, her or him.

Now for the rest. Did you vote in Hope last December? Probably – if you are in Delhi. Else, you probably Hoped in the vote last December – if you were watching from outside Delhi. In either case you were probably euphoric about the start and disappointed about the finish of the outcome. Based on this disappointment, a version of the events has been conjured up and marketed to us ceaselessly since then, with great skill and expertise. The same fears which caused you to vote as you did, have been re-packaged and re-sold to us by others and now there are different fathers for all the children that were born of our hopes. The conclusions have been drawn for us and the outcome is being sold as a given and we are seemingly en-route to cruising altitude.

Without going into the merits of all that, there is one question we need to answer – How many chances do we give our hopes? Did we expect to change the present and the future with a single press of a button? Really?

My hopes are still strong as hopes always must be. When people of the right mind put the right foot forward, there is always the chance they will step on the wrong spot. I’m happy to let them try again. Smarter, stronger - and this time probably surer.

Go, vote. Sweep in the change once again!

Dear Doney, retake is rarely possible for AAP still I hope if AAP can remind the servival of the fittest a most important doctrin of Darvin. We can come to power only at teh principles of vote gaining mathamtics and after comming into power we can eradicate corruption. more

Dear Dony, I for one voted for AAP in Dec and bitterly regretted it when AK simply uprooted his tent and walked away without a glance upon the likes of me who had given him so much love and affection. more
REMEMBER THE SAYING: " opportunity strikes but once in life" likely that AAP just missed the bus of opportunity more
