Twenty five jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were slaughtered in one of the deadliest attacks by Maoist rebels on Monday when around 300400 heavily armed insurgents ambushed and outgunned 99 troopers deployed to help with the construction of a road through their stronghold of Sukma in Chhattisgarh. This was one of three biggest attacks on security forces in seven years, and the second in the last one-and-a-half months. In 2013, 27 people, including Co ngress leaders V C Shukla, Mahendra Karma and Nand Kumar Patel, were killed in an ambush in Darbha valley . On March 11this year, 12 CRPF men of a road opening party were ambushed by heavily armed Maoists in Sukma, barely 20km from Monday's attack site.
The time has come for Government to use Army to root out the Naxalite problem for ever. How many more lives will be sacrificed at the Naxal Alter. Army has been used effectively to control Riots in Mumbai in 1966 and at many other places in our country. Army is there to protect the citizens from the enemies and Naxals are enemies. more

These are also a sign of COWARDLINESS, if some one come to our home and beat us that shows incompetency for the Home owner, similarly, the incidents going on in J&K and other Naxal affected area are sign of COWARDLINESS of the authority in power. The authority must come out HARD VERY HARD on the the anti social elements. more

This shows most of the state governments are hopeless w.r.t intelligence service . Why CRPF or border security will have different status than army- is not clear . This mishap is mostly from immature training and poor management The handling of naxalites is as critical as Pakistani or Chinese army . We have money for Bullet train but no money for bullet proof jacket and advanced equipments for protection of jawans . Ridiculous more

There is snail progress in the matter. There must be an encounter at any cost. One can't clap with one hand. Whole country is with central government, army and state police for search and mega operation. Our Row and CBI agencies should be involved whenever necessary. more
