How Middle Class Has Suffered in Last 9 Years.

Even though PM has been advocating SABKA SATH SABKA VIKAS SABKA VISHWAS, the reality is something else which he may not be even aware of. The Bureaucrats who are running the government have implemented following anti people policies to hurt middle class citizens and senior citizens:-
1. Senior Citizen Concession in train travel, an existing facility removed.
2. Interest rate of Senior Citizen Savings Scheme 2004 a welfare scheme, drastically reduced from 9.3% to 7.4% and now revised to 8.2%. This scheme was for retirees of private sector, who do not get pension, to provide them with a regular income stream to meet day to day expenses. Interest income is taxable. The interest rate was increased to 9.3% from 9% in April 2015 after 11 years. The interest rate was to increase in sync with inflation.
3. GST @18% levied on members contribution towards common expenses exceeding 7500 p.m. It is an accepted fact that Coop. Hsg. Societies are not a commercial or business entity and is solely registered for convenience of members.
There was no Service Tax earlier. The contribution increases due to repair and renovation of old buildings.
4. GST @18% levied on TV viewing. Today TV is viewed by poor people also and this is only making Cable TV Operators rich as they do not issue a tax invoice. GST for TV viewing should be revoked or reduced to 5%.
5. Bureaucrats have left a Loophole in GST for fraud and corruption. It is known as Input Tax Credit. According to data published by Government for One Lakh GST received by govt. the input tax credit (ITC) claimed is Four Lakhs. This has resulted in fraudulent claims of ITC running into thousands of crores and opportunity for corruption.
6. All requests and suggestions to Government for reworking GST rates without ITC through Local Circles have fallen on deaf ears.
We request Local Circles to kindly bring the above issues to the notice of PM. more

I once sent a telegram to the union home minister in 1978 regarding the gossiping by CID from Pondy. I also sent a registered letter CJI. These caused intense activity by them making use of their influence in Political and Government circles, I and my one year old daughter suffered a lot since then and continuing. There is interference in selling my village residential property in Saripalli, Ganapavaram Mandal in West Godavari / Eluru dt. I gave a complaint in AP spandana and sent information to Endownment dept in 1922. It is of no consequence so far. It is about 50 years and still suffering being aged 79 years. They are so powerful in AP circles. Now I am staying in Telangana Hyderabad. I am sure nothing comes out of complaining to authorities in Indian Democracy. I received a mail from CVC and am sure that replying to them result in more troubles to me and my daughter's life. more
The worst affected are Non Pensioner Senior Citizens. On the other hand Govt is paying Old Pension Scheme and the total out go there is breaking the back bone of the Country. There are approx 14 Cr Senior citizens and hardly 1-2 Cr are covered under Pension. For Balance 12 Cr it is better if Govt increases Interest on SCSS to atleast 9-10%. On Medical also Govt must give relief to Senior Citizens by waiving off GST on their Tests and Hospitalization. more
That is the irony. Even an autorickshaw driver earns more than Rs 1000 per day in Meto cities, thereby having annual gross income over Rs 3 lacs. But the categiry is low income. Only salaried middle class keeps suffering. more
When I say that auto rickshaw driver 'earns' it is the net earning I have mentioned based on talks I had had with very many such auto drivers more
Sir, autorickshaw rent? Fuel cost? Initial investment? Risk? Autorickshaw driver is an entrepreneur. Huge risks. See an autorickshaw driver's plight. Salaried middle class is secure. Let middle class salaried drive autorickshaws. Where is the comparison? औरों की आमदनी और खुद की तकलीफें हमेशां ज्यादा दिखती हैं। more

I thought this group and all who are promoting the state meaning government give things may appreciate this from this statement:Everybody wishes to live at the expense of the state, but they forget that the state lives at the expense of everybody.” In another book, Bastiat also stated that idea in this way: “The state is the great fiction by which everybody tries to live at the expense of everybody else.” more
