Has anything changed? more
yes absolutely..even paytm charges 2% for money transfer..and that doesn't have any capped amount more
This is still same and deserves govt action more
This is criminal in current day and age of digital india more
I Have been a total failure to understand why there should be any charge for electronic money transactions. Since no personnel is involved, banks are saving money not only by way of salary , which was required to be paid for manual operation. Savings takes place also because of paperless transactions hence no need of maintaining vouchers, ledgers, etc. Further, is it something like a tax or duty that the charge would be certain percentage of the value of transaction ? It need be a fixed amount (to cover the cost of maintenance of office facilities, computer hardware and software, and a portion of management cost, etc.), if any charge is to be levied at all. Government of India is required to give a serious look to promote electronic transactions. A no. of organisations, e.g., the Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (a profit making company listed in 'A' group at BSE) , provides rebate for ell modes of electronic payment - as also for paperless billing. more
