How safe are our Schools - Feeling Helpless

Another six year old gets raped at the school by the Gym Instructor

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/City/Bangalore/Sexual-assault-on-girl-came-to-light-after-stranger-called-mother/articleshow/38572435.cms

When a teenage girl/ woman is raped I hear people say it must be something she did or the way she dressed or conducted herself, THAT GOT HER RAPED. Now tell me what did the six year old do to provoke this demented man.

Don’t parents have the right to be sure about their child’s security at school? Is it too much to ask of a school to make sure they have the right infrastructure ensuring the safety of the children.

When we spent almost 30 percent of our income for a world class education at the so called ‘international school’, why are they shrugging of their duties to provide a safe and secure environment to the children

As a parent the very thought that the place where my son/daughter is going to spend 6 to 8 hours a day, may have some mentally insane people who are capable of such heinous crimes, petrifies me.

The solution:
Security Cameras: The schools will NEED to install security cameras to monitor what is going on.

MENTAL FITNESS Test for Instructors/Teachers
It is time that our schools made sure they hire the right people. They better conduct tests ensuring mental fitness of their faculty/instructors. Psychologically fit individuals only should be allowed as teachers or gym instructors or even swimming/sports coaches/bus drivers. more

making an public opinion on this subject we can amend the law in a public participatory law, in a Community court bench choosen by the community. Serious implication which will effect he family and self can only bring a change in the attitude. 3 yrs/ 7 yrs/ 10yrs of jail with food and shelter spoils the attitude of the crime offender. THINK nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn bring a change which can change our culture ans society It brings shame on us. more
yes it is very tragic, two things has to be done, first the culprits depending upon crime, they be given very strict punishment in a special court whose decision can be questioned only in supreme court, the punishment like 10 years RI, seizing their wealth, etc. Also alternatively all the schools they give an intense training to its staff especially the male staff on moral values, meditation, spiritualism, Gandhian ethos, etc. more
We can think of an extreme step--- Imputation of the male organ in these child rape cases. Trial at community These humiliations may result a change in attitude of these low psycho persons committing such crimes. more
National character building is need of hour. NCC , yoga, spiritual teachings to be made compulsory in school , colleges. NGO'S can initiate steps to educate citizens. more
Its very shame and very pitty to the effected kid. Only crude punishment ( killing immediatly) is the best solution for raping and mudering . Because our law has given lots of loop holes to protect the criminals and make expensive and depressing to the effected . 5 months back a 10 year old girl raped unto death and was hanged in a tree near Valapadi, Salem dt Tamil Nadu. Now the accused are freely walking in roads , starving for another victim . This our country . Rules must be changed. more
