How to authenticate FSSAI accreditation?

Hello friends!
Every ऐरा-गैरा, नत्थू-खैरा product is carrying FSSAI accreditation on its packaging!
How to authenticate the same?
FSSAI's website must carry an authentication tool to punch-in the 'License Number' against a Product & thus check the veracity of the same.
Chances are aplenty that many Hyper-local,sub-standard products are carrying 'Fake' stickers of FSSAI accreditation on their packaging to comply with the Marketing norms.
Please suggest further in this regard? more

Dear Sir, Thank you for raising your concern, we in FSSAI appreciate your concern being consumer towards public health, you can enter the reference number as well as license number on https://foodlicensing.fssai.gov.in/index.aspx at bottom right to track any reference number or license number. I agree with Mr. Harpal Singh as also with Mr. Gulshan Dua. There must be a easy mode for identification for authenticity. Food products, Ayurvedic Medicines are flooded in the market with a print of ISO 9001:2008 , but without the name of the Licensing Authority or the name/designation/contact particulars of the Management Representative. more
For the ISI marked products, BIS gives a license to the manufacturer. The certified product is required to carry ISI mark in an approved manner. In addition to the name and complete address of the manufacturer, the Indian Standard No. to which the product conforms is to be printed above the ISI mark and license number is required to be printed below the ISI mark in the form CM/L - xxxxxxx. This is a unique number allotted to each manufacturer. A list of the licensees is available on the BIS website for information of all. A complaint can be made to BIS for any doubt about wrong marking or substandard quality and BIS takes a prompt action. A similar approach should be adopted by FSSAI also. more
I would also suggest associating a "Unique QR Code" with every FSSAI License number to facilitate its authentication via Smartphone only! QR code scanning apps are available in plenty & come handy till FSSAI decides to jump in the bandwagon of launching Official apps! more
