India is inhabited by poor (more than 80%). They are dependent on roti, rice, potatoes. So called poor people drink n smoke too much. Their life style cannot be changed. A visit to a L2 shop after 5 pm depicts true picture. The clothes of majority of buyers of English whisky(paua) are dirty and worn out. So is the condition of slippers.
