HOW TO DEAL WITH THE TERRORIST ATTACK IN KASHMIR ?
One more terrorist attack has now taken place in Kashmir on 14th Feb.,2019, when around 46 Indian soldiers lost their lives and several more have been injured. This is one of the biggest and serious attacks in recent times.
This terrorist attack has raised considerable anger and sadness amongst the Indian citizens living in India and abroad. Many Indians wonder how to deal with this situation due to the acts of some extremist groups who seem to be crude and ruthless.
While extremists and terrorists seem to have an easy access to several places in Kashmir and seem to be successfully mixing with the people, the fact is that they are not large in number. The elections conducted in Kashmir have shown participation by large segment of citizens whenever they were assured of safety and security to cast their votes.
All over the world, terrorist attacks have become too common these days and handful of terrorists are able to carry out sabotage and murderous attacks. With the influx of refugees in Europe and liberal entry of foreigners in USA, European countries and USA have also become vulnerable to terrorist attacks. With the liberal refugee policy of Canada government, terrorist attacks have become frequent in Canada too.
There is a difference with the terrorist attacks that take place in Kashmir and in Europe and Americas. The terrorists operating in Europe or Americas do not enjoy any support from any particular government but the terrorists are independent groups and outfits.
In the case of Kashmir, it is not secret anymore and it is well known that the terrorists operate from their bases in Pakistan. What is particularly shocking is that while Pakistan itself has suffered from several terrorist attacks by extremist Islamic groups, it has no hesitation in providing supporting base for the terrorists to operate from Pakistan soil to launch attacks in Kashmir. On several occasions, the Pakistan government and senior politicians in Pakistan have described the act of terrorism in Kashmir as an independent movement and Pakistan openly says that it supports such activities.
The problem faced by India in tackling the terrorists in Kashmir is that India has to necessarily attack them who are operating from Pakistani soil or Pakistani occupied Kashmir soil. It virtually means that it would be an attack on Pakistan.
It is very well known that large section of people in Pakistan are unhappy about the terrorists and think that terrorism should be suppressed at any cost. Attack by India on Pakistani soil will inevitably mean attack on Pakistani citizens and not terrorists alone and India would not like this situation.
The unfortunate fact is that western countries and USA who are themselves victims of terrorist attacks do not condemn terrorism in Kashmir , except expressing some lip sympathy. Pakistan government and terrorists seem to think that they can have their way in Kashmir and the world opinion would be impotent.
Pakistan economy is in distress and financial conditions are extremely alarming. It is suffering from several socio economic problems with no indication of being solved in the immediate future. It has now taken huge loan from International Monetary Fund to stay afloat. Certainly, Pakistan cannot afford a war with India.
If Pakistan thinks that it can continue to support the terrorists in Kashmir even risking a war with India , it would be a terrible mistake and the Pakistan government should have the wisdom to realize this. Paksitan should also know that in today’s international situation, China cannot afford to come to the aid of Pakistan in case of a war with India , as China has high trade interests in India and currently faces trade war with USA.
To handle the terrorists in Kashmir, India would wish that Pakistan would understand that supporting terrorists in Kashmir would not be in it’s interest. If it would not realise this , perhaps, a bloody confrontation between India and Pakistan would be inevitable. Matured and responsible citizens in both the countries want peace but it needs two hands to clap.

The Main Problem is some local (So called) leaders are supporting by misleading the people. The motice is personal gain and selfishiness. We have to obtain the confidence of locals by their own participation. External support can be dealt with But the Internal support is more harmful. more

In Kashmir there are many locals involved/helping in carrying out such attacks.Unless this is checked we can not expect any improvement.Or Army has to deal with strong hands. more

Too many ideas....none to implement. There are many paid journalists & social NGO working for Pakistan. When we have internal enemies, why keep blaming Pakistan. First finish off the internal cancer bugs. It took 5 years to remove security cover for the Hurriyat leaders, which in first place should have never been given more

FACTS ABOUT TERRORISM IN KASHMIR The State of J&K Under India Area wise is 101380 sq Km Excluding POK. Kashmir : 15% Jammu : 26% Ladakh : 59% 85,000 sq Km comprising 85% area are not Muslim Majority. Population - 1.25 Crores Kashmir : 69 Lakhs. (Only 55 Lakhs speak Kashmiri. Rest 13 lakhs speak Non kashmiri languages.) Jammu : 53 Lakhs. (Dogri, Punjabi, Hindi) Ladakh : 03 Lakhs. (Ladakhi language) This does not include 7.5 lakh people settled who do not have citizenship. There are 22 districts in J&K. Out of which only 5 Districts where separatists have the say ; Srinagar, Anantnag, Baramullah, Kulgam and Pulwama. Other 17 districts are Pro India. So separatist's writ runs in just 15% of the population which are Sunni Muslim dominated. Interestingly these 5 districts are far away from Pakistan Border/LOC. There are more than fourteen major Religious/ ethinic groups comprising 85% of the population of J&K who are Pro India. These include: Shias ; Dogras: (Rajputs, Brahmins & Mahajans); Kashmiri Pandits; Sikhs; Buddhists ( Ladakhis ); Gujjars; Bakarwals; Paharis; Baltis; Christians & many more. Majority of the people in J&K do not speak Kashmiri as their mother tongue. It's Dogri, Gujjari, Punjabi, Ladhaki , Pahari etc. Only 33 % people in Kashmir speak Kashmiri & this group controls narrative from Hurriyat to militants and from NC and PDP. This 33% controls business, bureaucracy & agriculture. This sunni 33% is opposed to India although population of all other muslims in JK is 69 %. Shias (12%), Gujjars Muslims (14%), Pahadi Muslims ( 8%), Buddhists , Pandits, Sufis, Christians and Jammu Hindus/ Dogras ( aprox 45%) are totally opposed to separatism and Pakistan. Stone pelting , Hoisting of Pakistani flags & Anti India demonstrations are held in just 5 Districts in Kashmir valley. Other 17 districts have never participated in such activities. Poonch and Kargil have above 90% Muslim population. There has never been an Anti India or separatist protest in these districts. It is only the Anti National Media and other Anti India forces who with their own nefarious designs have created an impression that "WHOLE J&K" is against India. Whereas the truth is that just 15% of the Population comprising Sunni Muslims inhabiting 5 Districts of Kashmir province are fanning the separatist activities. These 5 places of safe and secured livelihood are preferred by these Activists for ever to be well guarded having Business promotion and Adequate earnings.
The actions like withdrawal of government security to separatists shall continue with further controls at Public interest as well as National interest.
The highest majority striving for life lead are now to be well guarded with secured methods of Livelihood.
This shall be the mandate of UNION OF INDIA REALIZING THE INJUSTICE DONE TO CITIZENS OF Jammu and Kashmir. more

We all must pray God that there shall not be anyone or any Association TO QUESTION THE LEGITIMACY OF Army's Warning in Jammu and Kashmir that ordered "" Don't Pick up Gun. Anybody Picks up Gun, will be Killed "" . At least we must cooperate Indian Military to Save Indian Citizen if not the State of Jammu and Kashmir . more
