How to ensure vaccine black marketing doesnt take place

The fineprint in the vaccine decontrol policy that worries me is that the Govt hasn’t fixed any MRP on 50% vaccines open for commercial supply as well procurement by states. This will surely lead to what in economics is called price gouging because policy allows for It more

THE GOVERNMENT PROCURES VACCINE FROM MANUFACTURERS AT Rs 150/= per dose and distriBUTES TO THE STATES FREE. MANY ARE AVAILING THE FREE VACCINE DOSE FROM GOVERNMENT INSTITUTIONS. AT THIS STAGE THE FREE VACCINATION CAN BE RESTRICTED TO THE RICE CARD HOLDERS AND BPL CARD HOLDERS.MAKE THE OTHERS ABOVE THE BPL PAY FOR PAY FOR THE VACCINE . The manufacturers also need some financial motivation. Let the system of Government procuring from the manufacturer at higher cost supply to the Govt. free that could be given only to BPL Card holders. This can prevent the आपदा में अवसर (Aapda mein Avsar). If it coemes to open market hawks will grab the opportunity and go in collution with the right people and create shortage and jack the prices / black market the vaccine . HAVEN'T WE HEARD OF ON BLACK MARKETING OF THE COVID 19 ESSENTAL MEDICINES AND EQUIPMENT (initially the masks also) PRICES leave alone the Onion prices. more
I believe the Govt. has fixed the price of vaccine for the patients getting vaccinated in private hospitals. In comparison to prevailing rate of RS.250/-, the rate proposed is high and discouraging for a common middle class man. The high rate increase the pressure on Govt. facilities and delay vaccination and make fight against the virus longer. more
Whenever the demand shoots up and supply remain limited for any commodity, the black marketing takes birth. It is the responsibility of State Governments to check this menace but generally, the local politicians encourage all sorts of mal-practices to mint money for their supporters as well as for themselves. Modi is not a solution to every problem. Many people blame him every problem. If there is no rain, Modi has stopped it, if there is too heavy rain, Modi has released excess water to harm us. Petrol/diesel prices have shot up, partially due to very high rate of VAT is many States but people say, Modi has done it. more
If there is a shortage in any commodity or facility, there are always greedy persons who want to benefit from it. I only hope that spurious virus veils do not come out. more
This government is not a corrupt one and have confidence that they will take appropriate steps. more
