How to handle Petrol\Diesel Crisis forever

It is important to reduce our dependence on Petrol/Diesel. The alternative is to use electric mobility, let it be electric cars or trains. The china is developing the smart grids and specifically promoting EV technology forecasting level of importing oil to match growth of automotive industry. We also should adapt the strategy where we promote EV technology. This will also increase demand on electricity generation which need to be catered through alternative energy sources such as solar or wind energy. Regarding protecting against any oil price shocks, India needs to increase strategic petroleum reserves. From the desktop research I understand the current capacity is 37 million barrels, which can cater for 2 weeks of fuel. There has to be a plan to increase this reserve based on statistical data of oil price fluctuation and demand forecast due to growth. more
HOW COME INDIA HAS NOT STARTED DRILLING EXTENSIVELY FOR OIL & GAS ON THE WEST COAST? Surely there must be a lot of oil & gas there. more
I would suggest that Indian Railways should electrify all the routes immediately on on top most priority so that Nation can save on precious foreign currency to import diesel. This will require lot of funds however I am sure these funds can be diverted from elsewhere. more
I agree with Prabhakarj lakshmi hi, as a head of the educational institution, we had only 5 days a week, this makes students more alert, relaxed and prepared for the week, of course transport of the school can be used for some other activities on holidays, I know some good schools work only. Four days and give field work on other days, even in us govt offices few work only four days for more hours, it gives them edge to take care of family work too, it must be quality of work along with task completion, time and productivity, if every hour is utilized properly, then no need to worry for how many days we work, more
Increase more efficient public transport in all districts. more
