Railway Board has become junk and hopeless in delivering goods. Like Planning Commission, it is time to close it and have an alternative body, which can perform similar functions effectively. I think this is because of putting all All India Services people in the Board, who enjoy all perks but won't be productive at all. more

Station s should be like airport s. Restricted entry with hefty entrance fees, amenities like luggage trolleys, seating areas, washrooms, strict security norms. We need a sense of discipline and order in Railway stations and long distance trains. Suburban system should be separate. more

Cleanliness drive seems incomplete unless common man plays it's role as a responsible citizen of the country. At most places pavements are covered with construction malba or unrepaired pavement is left unattended.Local govt has the principal role in making instant arrangement for picking up the leftover malba atleast before rainy season. At most places roads are in bad shape but repair is repeatedly done on pavements where no repair is needed. This is total wastage of manpower and public money. Green patches on pavements are permanently filled with malba and garbage. Local administration must take up under Swachta abhiyan mission the above issues seriously.Media should also be involved in focussing these issues in public domain so that common man is made conscious of the role it must play. more
